XL Peach Palm Tree (clustering bactris gasipaes)

(XL Specimen, 8” Pot) Bactris gasipaes is a fruit bearing, thorny, tightly clustering palm forests of Central America. It is a long-lived palm which is productive for 50 to 75 years on average. The fruits are edible and very nutritious but are best served after cooking for 3–4 hours. Here at the nursery these palms are limited to only a couple per year and propagated by division only. We have found off-sets grow much faster and produce sooner than seed grown trees.
